Perry Rubenstein

Artist Biography


As a youngster Perry Rubenstein dreamed of becoming an artist. As a young man he worked at Liberty Magazine’s art department in New York City and then World War Two interrupted his art career and he served for three years in the army.
When he returned from the war he acknowledged his responsibilities to his wife and young daughter, put his artistic dreams on hold and pursued a business career rather than that of a an artist. He was a successful business executive and being a creative person came to Florida to start his own business. After it was well established Perry finally had the freedom to resume his interest in art.
Perry has exhibited in galleries all over South Florida. One of his unforgettable experiences was when a man who had purchased one of his paintings told him that each morning he reflected upon the painting before beginning his day. After he learned that something he had created had become a source of inspiration he knew that his long lost dream of being an artist was starting to come true.
Perry likes to paint beach scenes; especially those with women and children. He also excels at still life and portraits. He is originally from Wayne, New Jersey but has lived in Palm Beach County for thirty years.
